(TROY,

– The Troy Historic Village will celebrate “Christmas 1863 – An Old Fashioned
Holiday” on Saturday, December 3 from 1-3 pm,
welcoming in the holiday season with a fun and festive family celebration.
“This
is a special way to usher in this festive season,” Museum Director Loraine
Campbell said. “Thanks to a special grant
from the Michigan Humanities Council and Genisys
Credit Union, we are able to celebrate the holiday old-fashioned style at the
Troy Historic Village.”
The
Village and Historic buildings will be bright with holiday cheer as we explore holiday

for Christmas. Visit with Santa, enjoy punch and Christmas cookies. You might even catch a glimpse of President
and Mrs. Lincoln. Special activities for
children!
Marines
and Marine veterans will be on hand to collect new, unwrapped and unopened toys
for needy children as part of the Toys for Tots program.
